From the Editors

By Maria Tammone (Italy) and Christina Emanuel (USA)

Dear IARPP Members,

We are pleased to bring you the last edition of the eNews for 2016, our online newsletter linking IARPP members around the world with news from our community.

Inside you will find the latest information about the upcoming IARPP conference in Sydney, Australia, in which Cathy Hicks (Australia) and Sarah Calvert (New Zealand) enthusiastically share details about how plans for the conference are shaping up. They also include important information regarding travel to Australia.

We also feature news from the various IARPP committees. In particular, Steven Knoblauch (USA) and Alejandro Ávila Espada (Spain) share their reflections after the recent colloquium, their last one, as they step down and welcome Adrienne Harris (USA) and Rina Lazar (Israel) onboard as the new co-chairs of the Colloquium Committee.

In international news, a number of local chapters have sent us information about their various activities and programs that we include in this issue. Recent elections in IARPP-Portugal and IARPP-Chile have resulted in new leadership and continued vitality as these organizations support the development of our relational psychoanalytic community around the world.

In addition to these items, Chana Ullman (Israel) shares her reflections as she completes her first year as president of our organization.

It is a gratifying feeling that, particularly in these tumultuous times, members of our international community are finding comfort in our connections with one another. We wish our IARPP members all the best in 2017.

Our next deadline for submissions will be January 31, 2017.
Please read below for instructions to submit pieces for future editions of the Bookshelf and eNews.

Sincerely,

Christina Emanuel (USA) and Maria Tammone (Italy)
