Main Venue - Centro De Extensión UC

Located side by side to the Central Campus of the Universidad Católica de Chile, this neoclassical building has become one of the most important conference venues in town, combining tradition and functionality.

Centro de Extensión UC Venue is located in the heart of Santiago in the main avenue of the city. It has a subway station one block away (Metro Universidad Católica) and is next to restaurants, hotels and other facilities.

Colonial Santiago: where the Main Venue is located

This city offers several historical alternatives for those who wish to enjoy a colonial atmosphere.  Downtown Santiago includes the Cerro Santa Lucía, at whose foot conqueror Pedro de Valdivia founded the city, the Plaza de Armas (Arms Square), the Catedral Metropolitana (Cathedral) and a large number of 18th century churches, the Correo Central (Post Office), the Museo Histórico Nacional (National History Museum), ‘La Chascona’, home of Nobel Prize for Literature poet Pablo Neruda, and more than seventy museums and art galleries, plus handicraft markets and traditional quarters, all engaged in important cultural and artistic activities.

The Conference Secretariat has clustered some hotels and apart-hotels with qualified service and special rates for IARPP 2013 attendees. These hotels are only five or ten minutes away from the Congress venue.  All with limited capacity. There are other hotel options in case you choose other rates or neighborhoods.  In the meantime, you may visit their websites.   Prices will be published in our official website http://www.iarpp2013.cl this November and may be revised by March 2013.
