Dear IARPP Friends and Colleagues,<\/p>\n

On behalf of the\u00a0IARPP\u00a0Board\u00a0of Directors, and with the constant encouragement of our Past President, Dr. Steven Kuchuck, and current President, Dr. Susi Federici,\u00a0we are thrilled to announce the starting point of the Couples, Families and Groups (CFG) Special Interest Group (SIG) members listserv.<\/p>\n

The Co-Chairs for the\u00a0IARPP\u00a0CFG\u00a0SIG are Dr. Gila Ofer (Israel), Dr. Haim Weinberg (US), and Stavros Charalambides (Greece), reflecting a multinational and multitheoretical understanding of therapeutic approaches, group processes and organizational dynamics.<\/p>\n

The emerging\u00a0CFG\u00a0SIG is intended to serve as an umbrella for\u00a0IARPP members with a practice or\/and theoretical interest regarding Relational psychoanalytic ideas on Couples, Families and Groups psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. This SIG will discuss further development on these relevant issues and will present panels and workshops at\u00a0IARPP\u00a0conferences, webinars, etc. We intend to maintain a vibrant network to learn from each other, elaborate further innovative ideas and create an intersectional, multicultural, multitheoretical and egalitarian exchange. Also, from time to time we will communicate our plans and ideas to the larger IARPP membership.<\/p>\n

We envision this project as a long-standing initiative. Safety, containment and healthy dialogue among various schools of thought is anticipated. The three co-chairs of IARPP CFG SIG will act as moderators of incoming messages from our members.<\/p>\n

Recently IARPP CFG SIG members introduced themselves in our listserv in a short paragraph together with their preferences, goals, fantasies, etc., regarding this initiative. Every few weeks we will choose a relevant topic to be discussed on our forum.<\/p>\n

Any IARPP member with an interest regarding Relational psychoanalytic ideas on Couples, Families and Groups psychotherapy and psychoanalysis is welcome to join us by sending a notification to CouplesFamilyGroup@iarpp.memberclicks.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n
