\"\"<\/a>Beginning with Michael Eigen\u2019s new essay, “Rebirth: It\u2019s Been Around\u00a0a Long Time,” this new Routledge title co-edited by Ken Fuchsman and Keri S. Cohen collects essays by and about the distinguished psychoanalyst, an influential innovator within and beyond psychoanalysis. Drawing on the ideas of\u00a0Bion, Winnicott, Kabbalah and various artists, Eigen\u2019s work is noted for fusing spirituality with psychoanalysis and for his extraordinary creativity.<\/p>\n

The essays survey a rich array of subjects and reflections, with many clinical examples as well as applications to domains beyond psychotherapy. Featuring such titles as “Healing Longing in the Midst of Damage: Eigen’s Psychoanalytic Vision” and\u00a0“Breakdown and Recovery: Going\u00a0Berserk\u00a0and Other Rhythmic Concerns,” Fuchsman and Cohen\u2019s collection includes contributions by a number of IARPP members: Robin Bagai, Alitta Kulman, Willow Pearson, Louis Rothschild, and of course Eigen himself.<\/p>\n

Michael Eigen, Ph.D.<\/strong>\u00a0teaches at the New York University Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, and the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis. He is the author of thirty books and gives a weekly seminar on Bion, Winnicott, Lacan and his own work, ongoing for nearly fifty years.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ken Fuchsman, Ed.D.<\/strong> was President of the International Psychohistorical Association from 2016 to 2020. He is emeritus faculty from the University of Connecticut, where he taught American history, interdisciplinary studies, the nature of being human, and the family in interdisciplinary perspective, and was Executive Program Director of the Bachelor of General Studies Program. Along with Michael Maccoby, Dr. Fuchsman co-edited\u00a0Psychoanalytic and Historical Perspectives on the Leadership of Donald Trump<\/em>, published by Routledge.<\/p>\n

Keri S. Cohen, LCSW<\/strong>, a Board-Certified Diplomate in clinical social work, is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice in Lancaster, PA, working with adults, adolescents and children. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania\u2019s School of Social Policy and Practice and holds a certificate from the William Alanson White Institute\u2019s Online Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program. She is a published writer, has presented papers at national and international conferences on Bion, Ferenczi and Eigen, and co-moderates the international online Studying Eigen group. She teaches and has attended Eigen\u2019s Bion seminars for nearly 15 years.<\/p>\n
