Dear IARPP Members,<\/p>\n

First of all, I thank all those who contributed in various ways to the recent colloquium which was very intense and touching.<\/p>\n

I remind you that just these days our new Couples, Families and Groups membership initiative is promoting the encounter among\u00a0those interested in this area with the discussion of a clinical case. This Special Interest Group is a new initiative that can improve our professional and clinical exchange.<\/p>\n

I would like to take this opportunity to announce the program of the second IARPP Online Symposium, to be held on Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, October 24, 2021. As we are still struggling with the ups and downs of the global pandemic, we are looking for a way out, thanks to the vaccine, but also experiencing how this extraordinary event has harshly highlighted the contradictions of our globalized societies, both on the social and economic levels.<\/p>\n

With the organizing committee, whom I thank with all my heart, a great group collaboration has developed, and in a short time we have built a program that I hope will stimulate an interesting debate among all of us. At the beginning of the pandemic, many hoped that such a tough trial would foster greater awareness and solidarity. Unfortunately, the contradictions and inequalities have instead intensified. This is contributing to a strong\u00a0polarization in our psychic lives, creating the dichotomous sense of\u00a0belonging to one particular group and repudiating the other: it is\u00a0\u201cus\u201d against\u00a0\u201cthem.\u201d With the thought of placing these issues at the center of our reflection, the symposium will be entitled, \u201cThe Enemy Within and Without: Exclusion and Belonging in Intrapsychic, Interpersonal and Socio-Cultural Experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

The symposium will examine the contribution of\u00a0contemporary\u00a0psychoanalysis to the understanding of the functioning of the \u201canti-other\u201d sentiments of rejection and hatred of those who most differ from us. How can we help our patients and ourselves with these destructive dynamics and affective experiences?<\/p>\n

As you will see, the faculty includes representatives of the many communities that recognize themselves in IARPP in the continuous commitment to support international dialogue and openness to different contexts. I want to thank them all for their generous availability.<\/p>\n

Translations of the papers into different languages will be made available, and after each panel, the participants will be divided into discussion groups \u2013 also conducted in different languages \u2013 to facilitate an in-depth discussion and dialogue.<\/p>\n

Mark the date on your calendar and let your friends and colleagues know. We still have to settle for seeing each other remotely online, but it will be an important new step towards a more personal hug at the Los Angeles conference in 2022.<\/p>\n

Cari Membri IARPP,<\/p>\n

Innanzi tutto voglio ringraziare tutti coloro che hanno contribuito in vario modo al recente Colloquium che \u00e8 stato molto intenso e commovente.<\/p>\n

Vi ricordo inoltre che proprio in questi giorni il nuovo \u201cGruppo di Interesse su Coppie, Famiglie e Gruppi\u201d promuove l\u2019incontro fra coloro che sono interessati a quest\u2019area di lavoro con la discussione di un caso clinico. Questo particolare \u201cGruppo di Interesse\u201d \u00e8 una nuova iniziativa che amplia il nostro scambio professionale e clinico.<\/p>\n

Vorrei cogliere l\u2019occasione di questa comunicazione per annunciare il programma del secondo Simposio Online IARPP che si terr\u00e0 Sabato 23 e Domenica 24 Ottobre 2021.<\/p>\n

Mentre stiamo ancora lottando con gli alti e bassi della pandemia globale, intravediamo una via d\u2019uscita, grazie al vaccino, ma facciamo anche esperienza di come questo evento straordinario abbia messo duramente in evidenza le contraddizioni delle nostre societ\u00e0 globalizzate, sia sul piano sociale che economico.<\/p>\n

Con il Comitato organizzatore, che ringrazio con tutto il cuore, abbiamo sviluppato un bel lavoro di gruppo e in breve tempo abbiamo costruito un programma che spero stimoler\u00e0 un dibattito interessante fra tutti noi. All\u2019inizio della pandemia molti hanno sperato che una prova tanto difficile avrebbe promosso una maggiore consapevolezza e solidariet\u00e0. Purtroppo, le contraddizioni e le disuguaglianze si sono invece intensificate. Ci\u00f2 sta portando a una forte polarizzazione nelle nostre vite psichiche, creando un senso dicotomico di appartenenza a un particolare gruppo mentre si ripudia l\u2019altro: \u201cnoi\u201d contro \u201cloro\u201d. Abbiamo pensato di mettere questi temi al centro della nostra riflessione, il Simposio si intitoler\u00e0 \u201cIl nemico dentro e fuori<\/em>: esclusione e appartenenza nell\u2019esperienza intrapsichica, interpersonale e socio-culturale\u201d.<\/p>\n

Il Simposio esaminer\u00e0 il contributo della psicoanalisi contemporanea alla comprensione del funzionamento dei sentimenti \u201canti-altro\u201d di rifiuto e di odio verso coloro che sono pi\u00f9 differenti da noi. Come possiamo aiutare i nostri pazienti e noi stessi rispetto a queste dinamiche distruttive e queste esperienze affettive?<\/p>\n

Come vedrete la Faculty include colleghi rappresentativi di molte comunit\u00e0 che si riconoscono nella IARPP nel continuo impegno a sostenere il dialogo internazionale e l\u2019apertura a contesti differenti. Vorrei ringraziare tutti per la generosa disponibilit\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Saranno rese disponibili le traduzioni dei lavori in diverse lingue, e dopo ogni panel i partecipanti si divideranno in gruppi di discussione \u2013 condotti anche in diverse lingue \u2013 per facilitare il dialogo e una discussione approfondita.<\/p>\n
