National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis, January 8, online.<\/p>\n<p>This online couples workshop introduces a psychoanalytically-oriented approach to couple therapy, comparing individual (bi-personal field) with couple (tri-personal field) models, and exploring the role of the analyst as a participant-observer and significant \u201cthird.\u201d Clinical intervention integrates classical, object relations and relational models with contemporary research on childhood trauma, the multigenerational transmission process and the impact of sociocultural (e.g., race, gender, class, age) constructions on the treatment model.
