Here in Athens, we have been witnessing with horror and dismay the humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine, the tightening of repression in Russia, and the raising of an Iron Curtain dividing East and West all anew. It is almost incomprehensible that, in this era of globalism, events are unfolding in Europe that are very reminiscent of the destruction and darkness of World War II.<\/p>\n

We would like to express our heartfelt support to our colleagues in Ukraine and Russia and let them know that if any of them find themselves as refugees in Athens, they should contact us and we will extend all possible help to them. Meanwhile, we will be contributing to humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

In terms of our recent educational activities, we have been running a very interesting seminar with Dr. Barbara Pizer (USA) from Boston on \u201cCountertransference, Impasse and the Therapist\u2019s Use of Self.\u201d In this seminar, we analyze participants’ clinical cases involving a therapeutic impasse and study relevant readings from the relational bibliography.<\/p>\n
