Our Study Group continues to work on Ecopsychoanalysis. In January we had an open discussion with Joseph Dodds (Czech Republic) on a number of pertinent topics. Given the widespread intrusion of technology in all aspects of our lives, should we start thinking about a new ecology of technology and digitalization? What kind of collective action can we take regarding the human-nature relation? How can we motivate young people and teenagers to take action regarding these matters as citizens of the future?<\/p>\n

As planned, after completing the study of the book Psychoanalysis and Ecology at the Edge of Chaos,<\/em> our group decided to spend time discussing the sociopolitical aspects of psychoanalysis. We are currently working on Lynn Layton\u2019s \u201cAttacks on Linking: The Unconscious Pull to Dissociate Individuals from their Social Context.\u201d We plan to continue the Ecopsychoanalysis group for a third year, having as a central axis of our thinking the advance and complications of the post human era.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, given the devastating effect of the extended lockdowns on youth, we are thinking about organizing a workshop with chapter members working with children to discuss the repercussions of the pandemic from the standpoint of attachment theory.<\/p>\n
