Preventing Child Maltreatments and Traumas<\/em> includes discussion of the experiences of a psychoanalytic-oriented day clinic for mothers and abused children in Tokyo; the screening activities\u00a0at the emergency room of the children\u2019s hospital of Milan\u00a0to\u00a0detect potential cases of child maltreatments; the microanalysis of videos of parent-child interactions in sessions, derived from Tronick\u2019s and Beebe\u2019s extensive research and practice;\u00a0and how the analysis of dreams can help the psychoanalyst detect and treat traumas that occurred during childhood.<\/p>\n

Alessandro\u00a0Cavelzani, Ph.D.<\/strong> is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist for children and adults in private practice in Milan. A member of IARPP, he has volunteered at Buzzi Children\u2019s Hospital of Milan and Melloni Hospital of Milan, preventing and treating child maltreatments and post-partum depression. His publications include \u201cDyadic Expansion of Consciousness and Therapeutic Change in the Analyst-Patient Interaction\u201d with Edward Tronick (Psychoanalytic Dialogues, <\/em>2016), “Pregnancy and Childbirth during Covid-19 Lockdown in Patients under Treatment for Psychological Disorders\u201d (Journal of Integrative Medicine<\/em>, 2020) and \u201cMicro-Traumatic Experiences and Psychotherapeutic Treatment\u201d (Journal of Integrative Medicine<\/em>, 2018).<\/p>\n

Lucia Romeo, MD<\/strong> is a pediatrician and Head of the TIMMI Unit for Preventing Child Maltreatment at Buzzi Children\u2019s Hospital of Milan. Her publications include \u201cCan Family Pediatricians in Italy Identify Child Abuse?\u201d in Minerva Pediatrica Journal<\/em> and \u201cAbuso e maltrattamento\u201d in Manuale di Pediatria<\/em>.<\/p>\n
