\nOur report is under the heavy shade of the war and events in Israel.<\/p>\n

Israel is grieving and mourning. The horrible attack we underwent was devastating and painful. We get support and recognition from dear friends around the world, but at the same time we are deeply concerned for the lack of understanding and empathy in some states and communities to what we went through. We find it disturbing and frustrating.<\/p>\n

We especially these days are feeling very responsible and very needed. We are all as individuals in a sort of a trauma, and a lot of us have undergone a major trauma. We took two major actions since the war started. The first was to assemble the Israeli Forum for a big Zoom meeting of more than 200 people. It was a very close and moving meeting, with four dear people of our community who spoke. Ilana Laor, Rina Lazar, Boaz Shalgi, and Yoav Antman shared their views and work in those heavy days.<\/p>\n

A second thing that we are working on, with great energy, is to build a therapy layout of our community, financed partly by the state and private donations, to help victims of this war. More than that, we had “normal work” before the 7th of October, and we have plans to get back to “normal Forum work” soon.<\/p>\n

So before then, some view of what we were doing in the spring and summer of 2023:
\nIn April we held our second international series, hosting our best world-wide relational psychologists. This year we viewed Ferenczi\u2019s work from several aspects. In May we held a ten-day colloquium discussing Tami Dror-Sheiber\u2019s paper, \u201cDoes Truth Matter?\u201d It was an excellent opportunity to talk about the complexity of our political situation, and the way it effects our work.<\/p>\n

In June we concluded our music-relational series, \u201cThe Note of the Hour,\u201d hosting well-known Israeli musicians, and talking with them about their creation, and the way it is connected to our relational work. At the end of June, we met in the international IARPP Conference in Valencia. We had more than 35 participants from Israel at the conference, many of them lecturing and moderating.<\/p>\n

We look forward to quiet times, and we hope to participate in the next conference in Merida, Mexico.<\/p>\n
