It has been a challenging year, but we have continued to stay in touch with each other and with our relational colleagues all over the globe. Most of our activities still take place online because we are all scattered in different countries. The good news is that despite all the circumstances, there is a growing interest in relational psychoanalysis in the Russian-speaking psychotherapeutic space and a growing availability of educational opportunities.<\/p>\n

Nikolai Petritsa, under the direction of Margaret Crastnopol (USA), has organized a two-year online educational program on relational psychoanalysis and psychotherapy with 19 faculty members, American relational analysts. And there are 110 (!) participants in this program, coming from various analytic and non-psychoanalytic backgrounds.<\/p>\n

Our colleagues Denis Kargaltsev, Irina Zolotareva, and Tatiana Panchenko continue to teach their one-year course on relational psychoanalysis.<\/p>\n

We, Alexander Levchuk and Elina Ryzhenkova, lead the course “Therapeutic Relationship in Relational Psychoanalysis” and six relational reading groups.<\/p>\n

Also, the seminar\/supervisory group led by Matt Aibel (USA) is now in its third year.<\/p>\n

We have big plans for the coming year. We hope to finally start publishing Russian-language translations of relational writings. And we would also like to hold some open webinars where anyone could come and get to know some basic information on relational psychoanalysis for those who are interested but not yet ready to invest in a year-long educational program.<\/p>\n
