He is a full member of the Institute for Relational Psychotherapy and IARPP (International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy). He is Vice-President of the Spanish chapter of IARPP. He is a member of the Spanish Society of Psychoanalysis, the British Psychoanalytic Association, and the International Psychoanalytic Association. He has created the Giralda Psychotherapy Centre in Seville, an associate centre of the Institute for Relational Psychotherapy. He is also a member of the International Attachment Network (IAN). He is professor of the Master in Relational Psychotherapy \/ Specialist in Relational Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. He has presented papers in different international psychoanalytic conferences and has published papers in different psychoanalysis journals. The evolution of his thoughts comes from the mainstream of psychoanalysis toward relational psychoanalysis, integrating the contributions of Bion, Bowlby, Fonagy, Stern, Eigen, and Siegel, and developing a therapeutic method that is practiced at the Giralda Psychotherapy Center.
