Muriel Dimen<\/p><\/div>\n

The work of the IARPP Muriel Dimen Fellowship<\/a> reaches fruition at the upcoming Tel Aviv conference, when 2019\u2019s four fellowship recipients will comprise a panel honoring Muriel\u2019s belief that an interdisciplinary conversation with professionals working in different academic fields can open new vistas for relational theory and practice, intellectual inquiry, and political action.<\/p>\n

Each fellow\u2019s paper represents the culmination of a year studying relational psychoanalysis under the mentorship of leading IARPP members and applying this knowledge to their area of academic research. Moderated by Chana Ullman (Israel) and Sharon Ziv Beiman (Israel), the panel will touch on a diversity of topics from theoretical scholarly studies of myth and religion to the study of underserved and traumatized populations.<\/p>\n

Ruth Kara Ivanov (Israel), a poet and scholar in the field of Jewish Kabala and mysticism, has analyzed the multiple selves of King David in Kabalistic literature, focusing on identity, gender and mysticism (mentored by Chana Ullman, Israel);<\/p>\n

Mordechai Gofman (Israel) has studied religion as truth and truth as religion from a psychoanalytic perspective (mentored by Mitchel Becker, Israel); and<\/p>\n

Maya Fening (Canada)<\/p><\/div>\n

Maya Fening (Canada) has researched the impossible role of Eritrean refugee interpreters in the mental health encounter (mentored by Uri Hadar, Israel).<\/p>\n
