We are very excited that Beatrice Beebe (USA) has accepted our invitation to present a Skype workshop in November 2019. We look forward to learning more about her recent research findings and their implications for adult psychotherapy. This workshop will be open to all, and we hope that may college students will participate.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile we are working hard in our two seminars, one with Adrienne Harris (USA) on relational concepts and the other with Suzi Naiburg (USA) on psychoanalytic writing. We were encouraged by Suzi\u2019s suggestion to develop our own voices and to approach writing as a way to discover more about our patients, our own clinical selves, and the way we work. Her suggestion to use our feelings, somatic cues, and reveries was well received by the group, as we are familiar with Bion.<\/p>\n

The most intriguing part has been our attempt to write in English, not in our native language, and we are still trying to find our balance in this endeavour!<\/p>\n

With Adrienne we have been covering the areas of intersubjectivity, sexuality, attachment, dissociation, trauma, enactment, and field theory. We are raising questions, comparing views, and deepening our knowledge in these key areas of theoretical conceptualization and clinical implementation.<\/p>\n

All in all, a very productive academic year!<\/p>\n
