Margaret Black Mitchell<\/p><\/div>\n

Led by Margaret Black Mitchell (USA), our group consists of candidates from all over the world who come together to create a place where the focus is specifically on and for candidates and early career psychoanalysts.<\/p>\n

Our most recent events took place during the international conference in Tel Aviv (June 20-23, 2019). The first day we held our traditional Candidates\u2019 Reception, where candidate members were able to meet some of IARPP\u2019s best-known writers and speakers. The committee\u2019s co-chairs, Gadit Orian (Israel) and Sandra Toribio (Spain), joined committee members Afarin Kohan (Canada) and Erik Faberberg (Sweden) in welcoming everyone to the reception. The rest of the members of our committee, Fabia Banella (Italy), Lissa Schaupp (USA) and Andrea Rihm (Chile], could not attend the conference but worked hard during the year to help coordinate our events. We are also very happy to announce that Konstantinos Mouchalos\u00a0(Greece) and Adrian Jones (Australia) have recently joined the committee. Welcome!<\/p>\n

The second event the Candidates Committee organized during the conference was the annual Candidates Panel, on the theme of The Role of Imagination in Becoming a Therapist.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0We received proposals from candidates all over the world and had the difficult task of choosing only three to present: Angelica Tsikli (Greece), Miriam DeRiso (USA) and Dafna Katzir-Goldenboum (Israel). We were honored to have Estelle Shane (USA) as our discussant. The panel was very rich and moving, and we enjoyed the variety of interventions demonstrated by the participants.<\/p>\n

Our next event will be our annual online\u00a0webinar\u00a0coming up in February 2020. Margaret Crastonopol (USA) has generously agreed to lead our webinar. We are looking forward to three weeks of learning and conversation.<\/p>\n

Designed\u00a0specifically\u00a0and only\u00a0for candidates and early career psychoanalysts and relationally trained psychotherapists, the Candidates Committee webinar provide opportunities to learn from some of the most accomplished members of our community, as well as a chance to interact with an international group of up to 75 peers.<\/p>\n

We hope to \u201csee\u201d you there!<\/p>\n

Nuestros \u00faltimos eventos tuvieron lugar durante la conferencia internacional en Tel Aviv (20-23 Junio, 2019). El d\u00eda de la inauguraci\u00f3n del congreso, tuvo lugar la ya tradicional\u00a0Recepci\u00f3n de Candidatos\/as<\/strong>, donde los miembros candidatos tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer a algunos\/as de los escritores\/as y ponentes m\u00e1s conocidos de nuestra comunidad. Gadit Orian (Israel) y Sandra Toribio (Espa\u00f1a), actuales presidentas del comit\u00e9, junto con Afarin Kohan (Canad\u00e1) and Erik Faberberg (Suecia), dieron la bienvenida a las personas asistentes a la recepci\u00f3n. El resto de miembros del comit\u00e9 (Fabia Banella \u2013 Italia-, Lissa Schaupp -EEUU, y Andrea Rihm \u2013 Chile) no pudieron asistir al congreso pero trabajaron mucho durante el a\u00f1o para poder coordinar estos eventos. Nos alegra mucho poder compartir la noticia de la reciente incorporaci\u00f3n de dos nuevos miembros a nuestro comit\u00e9: Konstantinos Mouchalos\u00a0(Grecia) y Adrian Jones (Australia). \u00a1Bienvenidos!<\/p>\n

El segundo evento que el Comit\u00e9 de Candidatos organiz\u00f3 durante el congreso fue el\u00a0Panel de Candidatos<\/strong>, que este a\u00f1o giraba en torno a \u201cEl papel de la imaginaci\u00f3n en el llegar a ser a terapeuta\u201d<\/em>. Recibimos propuestas de todo el mundo y no result\u00f3 nada f\u00e1cil elegir s\u00f3lo tres.
