<\/a>On November 10, IARPP-Athens hosted a presentation organized by the IARPP-Thessaloniki and the University of Thessaloniki with Dr. Beatrice Beebe (USA), entitled \u201cInfant Research and Adult Treatment: Nonverbal Modes of Entering Distress Moments.\u201d The presentation combined the microanalysis of video vignettes from Dr. Beebe\u2019s research and clinical work, focusing on the patterns of communication between parent and infant, on the one hand, and psychotherapist and patient, on the other, in moments of distress. The event took place via video conference at the University of Athens and was very well attended by graduate students and mental health professionals.<\/p>\n

The Athens Chapter is in the process of planning more video conferences with prominent clinicians within the relational approach. In addition, our peer supervision and study group is continuing to meet every second Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n
