Dear all,<\/p>\n

The\u00a0International Chapters Committee met again in late October via Zoom. Despite the meeting being at a very unsociable hour for many of us due to the wide time differences across our community, 20 representatives from almost all the chapters were able to participate in a very stimulating discussion and sharing of ideas, achievements\u00a0and concerns.<\/p>\n

As you will read in their reports, over the past few months all our chapters have found ways to continue meeting and have also been able to offer rich and varied programs for their members, mainly via Zoom. In fact, a number of chapters have found that holding seminars, conferences and other events online has actually enabled more participation within their local area as well as opening up the possibility of much greater cooperation and sharing between countries.<\/p>\n

In this extraordinary time,\u00a0the most important themes of the ICC meeting were how\u00a0to maintain and grow our ways of being together as a community, how\u00a0to support the co-existence of different national and cultural identities, how\u00a0to contribute to a process of greater shared recognition, and how to provide access to each other\u2019s clinical and theoretical perspectives and wisdom.<\/p>\n

As the reports of many of the Spanish speaking chapters mention,\u00a0one expression of this goal has been the recent formation of a\u00a0new Latin American-Hispanic alliance among the chapters in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Spain,\u00a0Grupo Relacional Ibero Latino Americano de Psicoan\u00e1lisis y Psicoterapia<\/em> (GRILPP)<\/em>, the\u00a0Iberian Latin-American Relational Group of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy.\u00a0This new group aims to help develop\u00a0and strengthen a relational\u00a0psychoanalytic approach in\u00a0the Spanish language and to support a\u00a0greater presence and social impact of a relational model in Spanish-speaking countries.<\/p>\n

We are very happy to welcome our newest\u00a0chapter, IARPP-Russia. As IARPP continues to\u00a0grow — we now have over 2000 members in 48 countries — approximately half of all IARPP members live outside the United States. The ongoing question of how to further develop ways in which IARPP conferences and online events are made more accessible to the growing number of\u00a0members\u00a0for\u00a0whom English is not their first language is one that we will continue to investigate in 2021.<\/p>\n

Querida Comunidad IARPP,<\/p>\n

El Comit\u00e9 Internacional de Cap\u00edtulos se reuni\u00f3 nuevamente en Octubre v\u00eda Zoom. A pesar de que la hora era muy inconveniente para muchos de nosotros, debido a la gran diferencia de horario\u00a0 entre los integrantes de nuestra comunidad, 20 representantes de casi todos nuestros cap\u00edtulos pudieron participar de una discusi\u00f3n\u00a0 muy estimulante de intercambio de ideas, logros y preocupaciones de todos los participantes.<\/p>\n

Como podr\u00e1n apreciar en sus reportes , en los meses recientes todos nuestros cap\u00edtulos han encontrado modos de seguir reuni\u00e9ndose y han sido capaces de ofrecer variados y valiosos programas a sus miembros, principalmente v\u00eda Zoom. De hecho, una\u00a0 serie de cap\u00edtulos han descubierto que tener seminarios, conferencias, y otros eventos online han permitido mayor participaci\u00f3n dentro de sus comunidades locales, como as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n mucha mayor cooperaci\u00f3n e intercambio entre los diferentes pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

En estos tiempos extraordinarios, los temas m\u00e1s importantes de las reuniones del Comit\u00e9 Internacional de Cap\u00edtulos fueron como crecer y mantener nuestros modos de estar unidos como comunidad, como sostener la co-existencia de identidades culturales y nacionales distintas, como contribuir a un proceso de un mayor reconocimiento\u00a0 compartido y como proveer acceso a las perspectivas te\u00f3ricas y cl\u00ednicas \u00a0y la sabidur\u00eda \u00a0de cada uno. Como mencionan muchos reportes de los cap\u00edtulos de habla en Castellano, una expresi\u00f3n de esta meta ha sido la reciente formaci\u00f3n de una nueva alianza Latinoamericana-Espa\u00f1ola entre los cap\u00edtulos que existen en Argentina, Chile, M\u00e9xico, Per\u00fa y Espa\u00f1a, Grupo Relacional Ibero Latino Americano de Psicoterapia y Psicoan\u00e1lisis (GRILPP). <\/em>La aspiraci\u00f3n de este nuevo grupo es ayudar\u00a0 a desarrollar y fortalecer un abordaje al psicoan\u00e1lisis relacional en el lenguaje Castellano y dar apoyo a una mayor presencia e impacto social del modelo relacional en los pa\u00edses de habla hispana.<\/p>\n

Con mucha alegr\u00eda damos la bienvenida a IARPP-Rusia, nuestro cap\u00edtulo mas nuevo. A medida que IARPP contin\u00faa creciendo \u2013 tenemos actualmente m\u00e1s de 20000 miembros en 48 pa\u00edses — aproximadamente la mitad de los miembros de IARPP viven fuera de los Estados Unidos y de estos. A lo largo de 2021 intentaremos responder a la pregunta permanente de c\u00f3mo promover modos de desarrollo, en los cuales, las conferencias de IARPP y los eventos online, se hagan mas accesibles al creciente n\u00famero de miembros para qui\u00e9nes el Ingl\u00e9s no es su lengua materna.<\/p>\n
