This paper addresses the collective aspects of individual subjectivity in the one-to-many object relationship – a neglected area in psychoanalytic theorizing, and one not much covered in our colloquia to date. In addition, it touches upon the intersecting of the personal and the political, in a context of living under a government with which one does not identify.
