With immense joy, we extend our warmest welcome to Ukraine and Iran as new chapters of the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. In Ukraine, the ongoing war has disrupted lives and fundamental structures, while in Iran, the regime’s repression has stifled expression and critical thought. Despite these formidable challenges, clinicians in both countries continue to work, a testament to their unwavering commitment to freedom of thought.

We believe that the IARPP global community will be a valuable source of support and inspiration for our new Chapters, fostering new connections worldwide. If the opening event of the Iranian Chapter, with presentations by Board Members Stavros Charalambides (Greece) and Hilary Offman (Canada) and over a hundred participants, is any indication of their enthusiasm, we look forward to being enriched by the unique perspectives they can bring to us.

This is the essence of the IARPP Chapters.
