Case Studies in Relational Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis: If I Could Turn Back Time
Book Announcement by Beth Feldman (USA)
Feldman, B.I. (2025). Case studies in relational psychotherapy and psychoanalysis: If I could turn back time. Routledge.

Beth Feldman’s Case Studies in Relational Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis: If I Could Turn Back Time (Routledge) invites the reader behind the closed door of the psychotherapy office through a selection of nine psychotherapy and psychoanalytic case studies. Each story delves into the hearts and minds of memorable patients and their therapist, as they grapple together with loss, betrayal, anxiety, depression, suicidality, substance abuse, and more.
Feldman examines the challenging and moving interactions between patient and therapist, the collaborations that take place in relational depth therapy that lead to meaningful change. And in each case study, she highlights the misattunements, ruptures, and enactments that occurred, and explores what she might have done differently, if she could turn back time.
