The phantasy of a socialist heart is proposed in an interventive context alongside the ‘snake eating its tail’ archetype, the uroboros. The unity of the socialist heart and the uroboros is used to theoretically show the sliding scale fee as a necessary intervention for specific symbiotic wounds. A case example is provided to illustrate this theory, as well as to highlight how an appropriately timed analysis of the lowered fee helps to foster separation-individuation. The utility of an overdetermined socialistic emotion is explored both as and beyond the binary of capitalism/socialism.
