From the Editors

By Christina Emanuel (USA) and Maria Tammone (Italy)

Dear IARPP Community,

We are pleased to present the current issue of the IARPP eNews, in which we share news about our organization with our members around the world.

In this issue we feature the latest news about the 16th annual IARPP International Conference taking place in New York City in just a few weeks.  We very much appreciate conference organizers Margaret Black Mitchell (USA) and Hazel Ipp (Canada) for taking the time from their hectic conference-planning schedules to share with us some highlights of the upcoming conference.

This issue of the eNews is the first one in which we are addressed by our new president, Steven Kuchuck (USA).  Additionally, we feature an interview with him so that our members can get to know more about Steve as he assumes leadership of our organization.  Also in this issue is a report from our newest interest group, Psychoanalysis and the Collective.

We also feature news from many of our international chapters, including a new chapter that has just formed in Greece-Thessaloniki.  Reports from our committees round out this issue of the eNews, along with a tribute to Jeremy Safran, whose recent death has affected our community profoundly.

See below for a detailed list of all articles in this issue of the IARPP eNews; you can click on any item below to be taken directly to it and the rest of the eNews.  Also, please see below for information about submitting items to an upcoming issue of the IARPP Bookshelf or eNews.  The next deadline for submissions is July 31, 2018

We look forward to seeing many of you in New York very soon!

Sincerely,

Christina Emanuel and Maria Tammone
