Webinar
In the second half of the year, from October 23 through November 5, we held our Spanish-language Webinar. We had the honor of Concepció Garriga Setó (Spain) presenting her work, entitled “The Goodness in Female Subjectivity: Implications for Treatment and Sexuality,” published in the Electronic Journal of Psychotherapy CEIR Clinical and Relational Research (2014). Alejandra Plaza (Mexico) and Adriana Cuenca (Mexico/US) were our moderators. Concepció, a scholar of the subject for many years and a woman committed to the deconstruction of certain lines of femininity that prevent the unfolding of women’s potential, brought this very important issue to the reflection table.
From the beginning Concepció generated a very enriching dialogue with our 33 participants from 10 countries, allowing us to approach and confront ourselves with our own experience of femininity and to review the positions we adopt in our clinical work. The attendees’ participation was rich and always welcomed with great generosity by Concepció’s continuous comments to each participant. We also held a Zoom meeting midway through the webinar, in which we were able to get to know some of the participants and continue the dialogue.
Our program for the first part of 2024 will include the Candidates Committee webinar followed by the Child, Adolescent, and Parent Psychotherapy Special Interest Group webinar. We will keep you abreast of the details of this interesting program for 2024.
We send you our best wishes for a more peaceful end of the year for you and your loved ones.
