The Nuts and Bolts of Couple Therapy

This workshop explores key principles of psychoanalytic couple and family therapy. A clinical illustration highlights such concepts as the “couple integrate,” complementary and symmetrical match, the role of the relational unconscious in the tri-personal field, the multigenerational transmission process, and the analyst’s location in structural racist, classist and gender-biased contexts.
