Greetings from Athens, where we have been in lockdown since March 23rd due to the coronavirus pandemic. Going outdoors is allowed only for very specific purposes. The level of fear, anxiety and restlessness among people is palpable. Most colleagues here are seeing their patients via teleconferencing only. Personally, in addition to teleconferencing, I continue to meet face-to-face with any of my patients who prefer to do so (taking all possible sanitary precautions) because I believe that, especially in difficult times, personal contact is so crucial.
All chapter activities have been cancelled for the foreseeable future, with the exception of our indomitable peer supervision/study group which continues to meet every second Wednesday via teleconferencing.
We extend our warmest thoughts to all our colleagues and their loved ones around the globe who are dealing with similar situations. Let us try to stay safe and support one another.
