Dear Colleagues,

I hope this finds you well during challenging times.

Those of us near New York City just experienced a 4.8-magnitude earthquake. It did little physical damage, but it felt like the latest iteration of instability and uncertainty characteristic of this time period. It seems that our sense of going-on-being is continually challenged and taken less for granted these days. Still, an earthquake in New Jersey? As a native son of the Garden State, I know well the region’s propensity to throw me off-balance, but this latest doing surpassed my imaginings.

An online search reveals that there are no fault lines running beneath the Yucatán Peninsula – all the more reason to make plans to attend our upcoming Annual Conference in Mérida, Mexico. A report from the Conference Committee with a link for registration is included in this edition of The IARPP Bulletin. I hope to see many of you there in just two more months.
