Dear All,

In Israel, as all over the world, we are staying home. The shops are closed, and the streets are empty. All planned activities of the Israeli chapter were cancelled.

We launched a colloquium to share our thoughts and feelings in Hebrew, a language we feel at home with. Next week, we will be having a Zoom webinar to help us with our new reality of doing therapy using Zoom/Skype, etc. Many of us are preparing for a Passover Seder over Zoom.

For the Jewish people, Passover is the celebration of freedom and liberty. We celebrate our coming out of Egypt and our coming out of slavery, to being a free and a liberated people. Both in the concrete as well as the metaphorical sense.

Significant questions are posed to us these days: What is the meaning of freedom to us, both as human beings and as professionals?

בישראל, כמו בכל מקום אחר בעולם אנחנו נמצאים בבתים, החנויות סגורות והכבישים ריקים. כל הפעילויות המתוכננות של הפורום הישראלי-בוטלו.

העלנו לאוויר קולוקוויום כדוגמת הקולוקוויום העולמי- אבל בעברית כדי שנוכל לדבר בשפתינו ונרגיש בבית. בשבוע הבא ננהל סמינר זום קצר כדי לאמן אותנו בשמוש במדיה שהיא לרובנו חדשה. רבים מאתנו גם מתכננים סדר פסח בזום.

חג הפסח הוא חג המסמן את החרות, עבור העם היהודי. את היציאה מעבדות לחרות. את היציאה ממצרים במשמעות הקונקרטית והמטפורית שלה.

שאלות משמעותיות מוצבות בפנינו בימים אלה. מה היא המשמעות של חרות וחופש עבורנו כבני אדם וכאנשי מקצוע.
