The mandate of this committee is to identify the needs of those who live in countries typically under-represented in IARPP and who are interested in having more access to relational opportunities. In response to numerous requests for didactic training from members worldwide, we have worked with Tony Bass (USA), Hazel Ipp (Canada), and Steve Kuchuck (USA) to create an online, free, comprehensive overview of Relational thinking.
We are excited to offer the first iteration of this course in the spring of 2023. We received an extremely enthusiastic response. While admission is now closed, we plan to offer the course again for different time zones and, in time, to add additional topics.
April 21st: Instructor, Steve Kuchuck: Overview of Relational psychoanalysis, analyst’s subjectivity, intersubjectivity.
April 29th & May 5th: Instructor, Tony Bass: Dissociation, unconscious to unconscious communication, multiple self-states, trauma.
May 12th & May 19th: Instructor, Hilary Offman: Sociocultural and political aspects of relational work, otherness, and intersectionality.
May 26th & June 2nd: Instructor, Hazel Ipp: Enactment and impasse and clinical case seminar focusing on seminar topics.
June 9th: Instructor, Steve Kuchuck: Self-disclosure, additional miscellaneous topics in Relational psychoanalysis, and seminar wrap-up.
For those who are signed up, we can’t wait to see you. For those who aren’t able to participate this time, stay tuned for further opportunities!
