With great joy we share with the IARPP community the activities we are offering at IARPP Buenos Aires.
In March we began “Revisiting classic concepts in psychoanalysis,” a biweekly course coordinated by Carlos Nemirovsky.
The objective is the review and deconstruction of basic concepts from the current psychoanalysis framework, deepening classical psychoanalytic concepts by discussing them through Relational and intersubjective perspectives. Structured in three-meeting modules, the course focuses on the concepts of unconscious/drive, transference/countertransference, framing, anonymity/neutrality/abstinence, interpretation, and the Oedipus Complex.
This month Paula Mayorga leads “The Human Process of Dying: The role of the therapist in accompanying the patient and the family.” This three-meeting seminar invites exploration of the subjective dimension of the dying process, awareness of finitude in personal experience, mourning, and the vicissitudes of dying: medicalized death and palliative care. We will also consider how getting sick or dying is connoted today and at different times and reflect on the role of the therapist in the face of illness and death and how to help a “good death.”
Also this month we begin the third edition of Module I of the course, “Introduction to Relational Psychoanalysis.” In this first module we discuss the origins of Relational thought which make psychoanalysis and psychotherapy a living theory in evolution.
Topics include the interpersonal field and affective regulation, the participation of the analyst (Sullivan and Fromm); the desexualization of the libido and the expansion of the unconscious (Jung); trauma and elasticity of technique (Ferenczi); the environment that facilitates emotional development (Winnicott); attachment (Bowlby) and self (Kohut) theories; the link in subjectivity (Pichón Rivière, Barangers, Racker and Puget); and basic fault, deficit and conflict (Balint and Killingmo).
Teachers include Carlos Nemirovsky, Yanina Piccolo, Victoria Font Saravia, Paula Mayorga, Marisa León, Martín Forli, Fernando Alonso, Silvina Gugliotta and María Alejandra Rey.
We are holding a free-of-charge activity, Relational Gatherings, coordinated by Carlos Nemirovsky and meeting monthly from April to November. The objective is to dialogue in a more informal way with invited colleagues from different latitudes regarding psychoanalytic and psychotherapeutic activity. This month features Rodrigo Rojas Jerez and Matias Fernandez Depetris (Chile). May will feature Miguel Maldonado (Perú) and Karla Escenaro (Mexico) will speak in June.
In May, María Alejandra Rey will teach a workshop course, “Women: Literature and psychoanalysis,” beginning with a brief conceptualization of the writers’ times, situating them in their environments. We will read representative works from each, seeking to intertwine their lives, works and commitments, and we will explore the contributions that psychoanalysis can make to the creative process.
In June, guest teacher Dr. Eduardo Drucaroff will lead “Psychoanalytic clinic with therapeutic groups: The contribution of Irvin Yalom.” Over four sessions we will look at therapeutic group sessions in fiction; Yalom’s A Year with Schopenhauer; work in the “here and now”; therapeutic factors in group therapy; and a psychoanalytic group session with a Relational perspective.
In addition, we offer a monthly Reading Group. We offer individual supervision with Yanina Piccolo, Victoria Font Saravia, Paula Mayorga, Martin Forli, María Alejandra Rey and Silvina Gugliotta, and also group supervision with Carlos Nemirovsky.

Con mucha alegría compartimos con la comunidad de IARPP las actividades que ofreceremos en IARPP Buenos Aires.
En marzo daremos inicio al curso anual de profundización: “Revisitando conceptos clásicos en psicoanálisis” coordinado por Carlos Nemirovsky, de frecuencia quincenal, los días martes de 14.30 a 16 hs. El objetivo será la revisión y deconstrucción de conceptos básicos desde el marco del psicoanálisis actual.
Profundizaremos a través de la discusión, conceptos aportados por el Psicoanálisis Clásico desde la mirada relacional e intersubjetiva. Se podrá cursar la totalidad o por módulos de 3 encuentros. Los conceptos serán: Inconsciente/Pulsión, Transferencia/Contratransferencia, Encuadre, Anonimato/Neutralidad/Abstinencia, Interpretación, Complejo de Edipo.
Retomamos nuestro “Grupo de Lectura” el cual se desarrolla los 4tos jueves de cada mes. El encuentro tiene por objetivo leer e intercambiar entre colegas a partir de un texto que seleccionaremos previamente.
En abril, Paula Mayorga impartirá el curso intensivo “El Proceso Humano de Morir. El rol del terapeuta en el acompañamiento del paciente y la familia” los días miércoles 12, 19 y 26 de abril de 17 a 18.30 hs.
El seminario invita a explorar la dimensión subjetiva del proceso de morir, la conciencia de finitud en la experiencia personal, los duelos, así como las vicisitudes del morir: la muerte medicalizada y los cuidados paliativos. Cómo se connota el enfermar o el morir en la actualidad y el morir en las diferentes épocas. Reflexionaremos sobre el rol del terapeuta ante la enfermedad y muerte y cómo ayudar a un “Buen morir”, entre otros temas.
Iniciaremos en abril la tercera edición del módulo I del curso “Introducción al Psicoanálisis Relacional.” Comienza el 14 de abril y finaliza el 16 de junio – Hora: 13 a 14.30 hs (hora Argentina).

En 2023 realizaremos una actividad gratuita coordinada por Carlos Nemirovsky llamada Tertulias Relacionales, de frecuencia mensual. El objetivo es dialogar de un modo más informal con colegas invitados de diferentes latitudes respecto de la actividad psicoanalítica y psicoterapéutica. Se desarrollará de abril a noviembre, los 3ros viernes de cada mes, de 17 a 18:15 hs.
Inicia en abril con Rodrigo Rojas Jerez y Matias Fernandez Depetris (Chile,) continua en mayo con Miguel Maldonado (Perú) y en junio Carlos dialogará con Karla Escenaro (México).
María Alejandra Rey dictará el curso “Mujeres. Literatura y psicoanálisis” los días miércoles 3, 10 y 17 de mayo de 13 a 14.30 hs. El curso se desarrollará en modo taller, partiendo de una breve conceptualización epocal, para situar a las escritoras en su entorno. Leeremos fragmentos de algunas obras representativas del pensamiento de cada una de ellas intentando hacer entrecruzamientos entre sus vidas, obras, su compromiso y los aportes que el psicoanálisis puede hacer al proceso creativo.
En el mes de junio el Dr. Eduardo Drucaroff como docente invitado impartirá el curso intensivo Clínica psicoanalítica con grupos terapéuticos. El aporte de Irvin Yalom. Serán cuatro encuentros donde se verán: 2 sesiones de grupo terapéutico en la ficción. “Un año con Schopenhauer” de Yalom, El trabajo en el “aquí y ahora”, Factores terapéuticos en psicoterapia grupal y Una sesión de grupo psicoanalítico con perspectiva relacional. Se realizará los días 5, 12 y 26 de junio y 3 de Julio 2023 de 15 a 16.30 hs.
Continuamos con las supervisiones individuales con Yanina Piccolo, Victoria Font Saravia, Paula Mayorga, Martin Forli María Alejandra Rey y Silvina Gugliotta. Y las supervisiones grupales a cargo del Carlos Nemirovsky.
