The IARPP Collective continues to be a lively, often intense online gathering, now consisting of 300 members. The last few months have seen us discussing a wide range of topics, with two of them standing out. First, both before and after the Tel Aviv conference, a continued engagement with the question of Israel/Palestine, and how we might think about it as politically engaged individuals and psychoanalysts. Second, a great deal of interest in the work of Erich Fromm. There was a shared sense that Fromm, whose entire body of work explores the relations between psychological and the social, could be of great help to us as we continue to explore our collective’s agenda. And so we decided to build on this interest in the fall, by studying Fromm together. We will announce more details of when and how we plan to do so when we return from our Summer break in the end of August.
