Led by Margaret Black Mitchell (USA), our group consists of candidates from all over the world who come together to create a place where the focus is specifically on and for candidates and early career psychoanalysts.
Our most recent events took place during the international conference in Tel Aviv (June 20-23, 2019). The first day we held our traditional Candidates’ Reception, where candidate members were able to meet some of IARPP’s best-known writers and speakers. The committee’s co-chairs, Gadit Orian (Israel) and Sandra Toribio (Spain), joined committee members Afarin Kohan (Canada) and Erik Faberberg (Sweden) in welcoming everyone to the reception. The rest of the members of our committee, Fabia Banella (Italy), Lissa Schaupp (USA) and Andrea Rihm (Chile], could not attend the conference but worked hard during the year to help coordinate our events. We are also very happy to announce that Konstantinos Mouchalos (Greece) and Adrian Jones (Australia) have recently joined the committee. Welcome!
The second event the Candidates Committee organized during the conference was the annual Candidates Panel, on the theme of The Role of Imagination in Becoming a Therapist. We received proposals from candidates all over the world and had the difficult task of choosing only three to present: Angelica Tsikli (Greece), Miriam DeRiso (USA) and Dafna Katzir-Goldenboum (Israel). We were honored to have Estelle Shane (USA) as our discussant. The panel was very rich and moving, and we enjoyed the variety of interventions demonstrated by the participants.
Our next event will be our annual online webinar coming up in February 2020. Margaret Crastonopol (USA) has generously agreed to lead our webinar. We are looking forward to three weeks of learning and conversation.
Designed specifically and only for candidates and early career psychoanalysts and relationally trained psychotherapists, the Candidates Committee webinar provide opportunities to learn from some of the most accomplished members of our community, as well as a chance to interact with an international group of up to 75 peers.
We hope to “see” you there!

Guiado por Margaret Black Mitchell (EEUU), nuestro grupo está formado por candidatos de todo el mundo que se unen para crear un espacio donde el foco está puesto en y para los/las candidatos/as y psicoanalistas que comienzan sus carreras profesionales.
Nuestros últimos eventos tuvieron lugar durante la conferencia internacional en Tel Aviv (20-23 Junio, 2019). El día de la inauguración del congreso, tuvo lugar la ya tradicional Recepción de Candidatos/as, donde los miembros candidatos tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer a algunos/as de los escritores/as y ponentes más conocidos de nuestra comunidad. Gadit Orian (Israel) y Sandra Toribio (España), actuales presidentas del comité, junto con Afarin Kohan (Canadá) and Erik Faberberg (Suecia), dieron la bienvenida a las personas asistentes a la recepción. El resto de miembros del comité (Fabia Banella – Italia-, Lissa Schaupp -EEUU, y Andrea Rihm – Chile) no pudieron asistir al congreso pero trabajaron mucho durante el año para poder coordinar estos eventos. Nos alegra mucho poder compartir la noticia de la reciente incorporación de dos nuevos miembros a nuestro comité: Konstantinos Mouchalos (Grecia) y Adrian Jones (Australia). ¡Bienvenidos!
El segundo evento que el Comité de Candidatos organizó durante el congreso fue el Panel de Candidatos, que este año giraba en torno a “El papel de la imaginación en el llegar a ser a terapeuta”. Recibimos propuestas de todo el mundo y no resultó nada fácil elegir sólo tres. Finalmente, los trabajos seleccionados fueron de Angelica Tsikli (Grecia), Miriam DeRiso (EEUU) y Dafna Katzir-Goldenboum (Israel). Estelle Shane (EEUU) fue la encargada de la discusión. Disfrutamos de un panel muy enriquecedor y emocionante, así como de una interesante variedad de intervenciones de las ponentes.
Nuestro proximo evento sera nuestro webinar annual, que comenzara en Febrero de 2020. Margaret Crastonopol (EEUU) ha aceptado amablemente impartirlo y estamos deseando poder disfrutar de tres semanas de aprendiazaje y conversion.
Próximamente anunciaremos quién será el/la ponente, ¡así que estad pendientes! Los webinar del Comité de Candidatos están diseñados específicamente y sólo para candidatos/as y psicoanalistas/psicoterapeutas que comienzan su desarrollo profesional. Suponen una oportunidad excelente de aprender de aquellos miembros de nuestra comunidad más reconocidos, así que como la ocasión de interactuar con un grupo internacional de hasta 75 colegas.

ספציפי לקנדידטים ולפסיכואנליטיקאים בתחילת הקריירה.
האירועים האחרונים שלנו התרחשו במהלך הכנס הבינלאומי בתל אביב (20-23 ביוני, 2019). ביום הראשון לכנס קיימה הוועדה שלנו קבלת הפנים, בה נפגשנו עם כמה מהכותבים והנואמים הידועים גדית אוריין (ישראל) וסנדרה טוריביו (ספרד), אפרין קוהן (קנדה) ואריק פברברג (שבדיה), חברי הוועדה, קיבלו את פני כולם בברכה. שאר חברי הוועדה שלנו [פביה בנלה (איטליה), ליסה שארפ (ארה”ב) ואנדראה ריהם (צ’ילה)] לא יכלו להגיע לכנס, אך עבדו קשה במהלך השנה בכדי לגרום לאירועים אלה לקרות. אנו שמחים מאוד גם להודיע שקונסטנטינוס מושאלוס (יוון) ואדריאן ג’ונס (אוסטרליה) הצטרפו אלינו לאחרונה. ברוכים הבאים!
האירוע השני שארגנה ועדת הקנדידטים במהלך הכנס היה פאנל בנושא “תפקיד הדמיון בטיפול”. בפאנל זה ביקשנו מאמרים שהציעו נקודת מבט קלינית באיזה תפקיד ממלא הדמיון בהפיכתנו למטפלים. קיבלנו הצעות מקנדידטים מכל העולם והייתה לנו משימה קשה לבחור רק שלוש הרצאות: אנג’ליקה ציקלי (יוון), מרים דירו (ארה”ב) ודפנה קציר-גולדנבוים (ישראל). המתדיינת היתה אסטל שיין (ארה”ב). הפאנל היה עשיר ומרגש מאוד, ומאוד נהנינו ממגוון ההתערבויות של המשתתפים.
האירוע הבא שלנו יהיה הסמינר המקוון השנתי שלנו שיעלה בינואר / פברואר 2020.
