The Collective space had been moving in the same rhythm, it seems, as the times we have been living in throughout this worldwide scenario.
The Covid pandemic revealed absence. Not the performative absence of potential space, but the void in our sense of otherness, inscripted both in our personal historical registers and our sociopolitical structures.
After a deep silence, maybe one of perplexity, the collective space reawakened, together with various social revolts and political struggles around the world. Some new compañeros joined, bringing new edges to the conversation. Elections in the USA, the plebiscite in Chile, the shaking scenario of our practice in pandemic times, have all moved our dialogue forward.
We want to renew our foundational statement here: to bridge the personal and the political, and to comprehend and understand the intertwining of social structures in our psychic lives, and how our psychic structures shape the way we conceive social and political life and their dilemmas.
For us as creators and moderators of this space, what takes central importance is to perform not only emotional exchange on the personal level but also to deepen ways of elaborating concepts and to provide meaningful words for the hinge of our present times.
We once again invite the IARPP community to our ongoing dialogue, as we live – more clearly than ever – the ongoing flow of political History.
