Couples, Families and Groups (Special Interest Group)

The Couples, Families and Groups Special Interest Group (SIG), as previously reported, discusses case vignettes on our listserv. The most recent case was a challenging couple therapy presented by Hanni Mann-Shalvi (Israel). We presented the case in three parts: the background of the couple, the verbatim of the hour, and lastly the complete paper. Segmenting the presentation in this manner seemed to facilitate more people participating in the discussion.

Following members’ request to hold a Zoom meeting, nearly 40 participants from Greece, the USA, England, and Israel met in January. It was good to get to know the participants ‘in person.’ Since the meeting was met with much enthusiasm, we have decided we will hold a Zoom meeting every few months.

The next case to be presented will be a group case.

We encourage all IARPP members to join us.
